# List Asset Versions

Lists an asset's immutable version history **newest-first** (paginated). The live asset row is always the current head and never appears in this list.

`head_version_number` (MAX(version\_number) + 1, or 1 when never versioned) is returned as a **top-level envelope key** alongside `data`/`pagy`. Reads are ungated — a versioning-disabled org still returns its existing versions — but per-version *content* is gated: on Free/Pro plans a past-window version hides the full original (`primary_gcs_id` null, thumbnails watermarked and clamped). Requires the `read` scope.
